Electrical Test and Inspection

Is your caravan or motorhome over 3 years old? Do you remember when it had its last Electrical Inspection?
The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) recommends the maximum period between inspection and testing for caravans should not exceed 3 years. The two consumer clubs endorse this view – an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is issued following completion of the test. Testing is not, however, compulsory. Click here to Read why this test is important and why Greenfields, following AWS guidelines, may ask you to sign a disclaimer if you decline one.
The main reason for this test is, like any other test or servicing, to keep
you and others safe. This test can be carried out before your annual service or at any time.
Greenfields
use specialised testing equipment to carry out the service and can take up to 3 hours for a complete inspection. You
will then be presented an inspection sheet with results.
